Cline

Use AZRouter in Cline through its OpenAI Compatible provider.

Tested: Cline CLI 3.0.71, 2026-10-16. The VS Code extension uses the same OpenAI Compatible provider but was not opened.

Cline reaches AZRouter through its OpenAI Compatible provider, in the VS Code extension and in the Cline CLI alike.

VS Code extension

  1. Open Cline's settings (the gear in the Cline panel).
  2. Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible.
  3. Base URL: https://api.azrouter.dev/v1
  4. API Key: your AZRouter key.
  5. Model ID: an AZRouter slug, for example qwen/qwen3.8-flash.

cline auth saves the key in Cline's own settings under ~/.cline.

-y approves Cline's tools without asking; leave it out when you want to review each step. Cline works through tool calls, so pick a model that handles tools well.
